It's a beautiful kettle that does a great job boiling the water quick! It's stainless steel on the outside and inside, but it does have one plastic part that sits above the max water line (ie it never gets covered in water) so I am willing to compromise on that for the design + quality. It's worlds better than the prior kettle I ordered (Hamilton Beach 40898 Cool-Touch Cordless 8 Cup Electric Kettle). You'll love it!

Heats water quickly and handle stays cool. Overall, I really like it! My only complaint is that the top opens in a way that does not let you reach inside. This means I can't use to to hard boil eggs. Oh well!

I bought this for an RV, because it is both fast at heating water and has a smaller footprint than many of the electric kettles I looked at. It is very fast, which is nice! Only negative to me is that the blue light which tells you it is "on" is very faint, but since the water heating element comes on very quickly, it isn't much of an issue. Also, once in awhile the plug needs to be pushed in again...not sure if it is a weakness in the actual plug or in the wall socket...but that bothers me, and is the reason I keep looking for the blue light! Other than this, I am very happy with the unit!
