8 of 8 people found the following review helpful Saves so much time, January 1, 2009 By JRSF (San Francisco, CA USA) - See all my reviews Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Panasonic NC-EH40PC 4.1-Quart Electric Thermo Pot (Kitchen) I love my thermo pot. I use it everyday. I used to boil water in the microwave prior to having this pot. It used to take 2-3 mins for each cup of water. Great quality. It saves me so much time, especially in the morning when I need to rush out the door with a hot mug of tea.
To avoid build-up in the pot, I fill it with purified water instead of tap water. I've had it for several months and I haven't had to clean out any deposits yet.

It takes about 20 minutes to heat up a full pot to 208 degrees F. and it keeps that temperature for as long as it's plugged in. I use distilled water and haven't had to do any cleaning. It is a rather tall pot, but it fits nice in the office. It has a swivel bottom so the unit can spin and twist, and the magnetic power cord doesn't get tangled. The pump fills up a 10 ounce coffee cup in about three seconds, fast enough to where you don't have to wait, but not so fast as to splash hot water on you while you are filling your cup.
For future versions, I would like to see an adjustable timer. I'm not sure what you would use a six hour timer for, but I guess it does have its uses. I would like to see eight or even 16. It would be nice to set the timer when I leave work, and have hot water when I come in the next morning, without having to keep it on all night. I would also like to see... Read more
6 of 6 people found the following review helpful very nice thermo pot, October 21, 2008 By Amazon Verified Purchase This review is from: Panasonic NC-EH40PC 4.1-Quart Electric Thermo Pot (Kitchen) I have this hot water pot for nearly two months now. Everything works as expected and excellently. I don't think it is necessary to spend more money on a similar item from other brands. The only thing I wish it had is a temperature setting around 160 degree.
